REACH Monthly Calendar

The Mental Health R.E.A.C.H. Centre is a social, recreational & pre-vocational program for adults (age 18 and over) who have experienced a mental illness.

Programs in the R.E.A.C.H. Activity Room:

Bingo, Knitting, Crafts, Card games, Drop-in for coffee and a chat, Art classes, Puzzles, Hot lunches , "Move this Way" (activities for a healthy lifestyle).

Meet at the Activity Room for these outings: Bowling, Seasonal trips, Walking group, Shopping, Library visits, etc.

Programs in the R.E.A.C.H. Learning Centre:

Cooking, Sewing, Woodworking, Literacy, Computers, Gardening, Reception, Retail (Thrift Store), and other courses (according to availability of staff, weather and resources).

R.E.A.C.H. Centre Thrift Store:

The Mental Health R.E.A.C.H. Centre operates a second-hand clothing store as a pre-vocational training program for retail skills development as well as a fundraiser for activities at the Centre.  

Come shopping for a bargain!

Monday, Wednesday or Friday 10-12, 1-3

Donations can be dropped off anytime between 9 am. and 4 pm. on these days.

*We also offer clothing for those unable to provide for themselves.

To get involved at the R.E.A.C.H. Centre:

  • Staff will provide you with an application to become a member - this is free.

  • Once you are a member you can sign up for classes or activities.

  • Calendars and Newsletter are available at the R.E.A.C.H. Centre that list upcoming events.  Please feel free to call us for information if you cannot get into the Centre to pick up a calendar.

  • Is there an activity you would like to see happen at the Centre? - Let us know!

  • Volunteers from within the R.E.A.C.H. membership or from the community are always welcome.  If you would like to help out with existing programs or start a new one, let the R.E.A.C.H. staff know.

There are programs running in our two outreach communities of Harvey and Mill Cove.  Contact out Fredericton Centre for details.

We have two locations within the Victoria Health Centre Building: the learning Centre on the 1st floor where the classes are held and the staff offices are located.  The other location is the Activity Room which is on the ground floor and hosts our social and recreational programs.

 

 

Hours and Activities:

Learning Centre, 1st floor: M, W. F, 9 am. - 4 pm.

Activity Room, Ground Floor: Tue & Thurs, 9 am. - 4 pm.

*Evening activities usually start at 6 pm. - look for notices.

 

Tuesday and Thursdays you can drop in for R.E.A.C.H. activities all day.  

The days to attend if you have signed up for a class or work station are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

 

We hope everyone will enjoy and learn from participation in our classes and activities.
